I think we will look back at this in 10 years ans say “thats so 2010″, ´meaning its nice and all but not very original. Personally im looking forwatd to the day when stadiums become an integral part of the cities that surround it. Maybe this can be convertted to a botanical garden in a few years when the games are ower and everyone have forgotten about the building. =)

That’s the first thing I thought as well. It’s taken a pair of highly recognizable and very idiosyncratic buildings and reduced them to a bit of a pastiche or aplique.

Although it’s kind of a good looking building, it’s really sort of sad.
