The photos are very misleading. Last time I walked past it, the bedroom window had some badly fitted blinds or maybe it was a blanket (maybe they should have thought about that issue) As for the ground floor, it’s a bit like living in a goldfish bowl.

Amazing work! Since I saw this house on the 2006 Architectural Review Awards for Emerging Architecture I found it absolutely great, with its beautiful insertion on the site, fine spaces and materials. Congratulations!

Nice house, Peter / Dermot (and others), not quite the glazing approach we’d go for here in Sydney but I like it in a Dublin (ie grey!) context.
