what you are saying is it does not show the character of a church building, big difference here between a church and and church building. however, i'm not sure what are supposedly the expected traits of a church. after all the sole function of a church building is to house the people and provided the facility for the 4 main activities of the church, worship, word, disciple, evangelism. if the church building becomes anything more than the intended role(for example it starts pretend it is able to connect people to God), it attempts to assume the role of the church, thus it becomes more than a church building. i think those are things we should avoid.

You're absolutely right, I see nothing in this design representative of oppression, manipulation, lies, or control.

I like the Lewis+Tsurumaki+Lewis-style imagry. However, the design speaks nothing of a church to me or anything having to do with spirituality/religion for that matter.

Hi! my office is actually in Nei-hu. This area has a lot of introverted blocky building. Maybe this one can be a bit more extroverted to the civic life, which I believe it has the potential to.

good call. my own office has just completed a project in the area and the rules are fairly strict as to what style is allowed. aesthetically it is fairly aggressive for the area. i enjoy the fact that it is non traditional. the prayer rooms are a great idea, especially for an evangelical organization. we need plans!
