DS+R is Ok, nice to see they get the designs build. Considering most of the other firms let their interns do the design – they would have been better off asking BIG to be one of the invited firms! Museum on iconic location – BIG would be just right!

formally it lights up very flexible although cracked, I might say that are the advantages of the 3dsMax, Am wondering how Diller Scofidio + Renfro play their functionality.

Terrible entries. Even Isay’s: usually so good in producing spatial richness, here making such a boring use of an outstanding site.
If I’d have to vote, I’d go with Bernardes&Jacobsen proposal, for opening the land to the sidewalk. But I don’t have to! :)

I’m guessing Libeskind was so busy doind PR work and bragging about himself to the press that he assigned this project to the janitor in the office. It’s hard to believe that anyone with architectural training was involved in it.

Diller Scofidio + Renfro by the way have ridiculously long staircases, that ain’t a stroll along a promenade, it’s a mountain to climb. Wouldn’t like to do that on a sunny day in Rio.

I would prefer all of the Brazilian designs above the international ones (except maybe for Brasil Arquitetura, although I find the ball comical).
It’s a shame that the international offices can compete in Brazilian competitions these days. I don’t see them bringing extra value to the brazilian architectural landscape.
