CEBRA has gained the support of The Danish Foundation for Culture and Sport Facilities (LOA) for the realization of a new home for Denmark’s Sport Fishing Association in Vingsted, Denmark. The 5,489 sq.ft. project will accommodate the association’s administration as well as an activity center for sports fishermen and other visitors to the beautiful surroundings in the Vejle brook valley. The architecture’s formal language is inspired by a fish swimming over stones and vegetation in the riverbed: a silver box rises over the ground and rests on three mounds made of stone, grass and wood. The box contains the administration, meeting facilities and canteen, while a large teaching room, a laboratory and wardrobes are located beneath it on ground level. In continuation hereof the three mounds create varied outdoor spaces for resting, activities and teaching around the building.
