Spira lies on a man-made peninsula in Lake Munksjön, right in downtown Jönköping, Sweden. The foyer meanders along a façade that overlooks the lake. After opening big, the space is soon quelled by stairs that lead to the upper seating. Beyond this constriction, the foyer takes on a more intimate character.

The cool, austere glass façades are bound together by warm bands of orange. The warm light mingles with the din of people coming up from the coat check. The doors of expectation beckon in bright colors. On the multiple stages beyond them, life is once again about to rise to a crescendo.
