Text description provided by the architects. The building is divided into two blocks and is built in conjunction with an extensive renovation in the Norra Bantorget area. In the same block there is a residential building that, with the aid of the office building, is noise and risk protected from the adjacent railway yard.

Concrete elements were a prerequisite for the project. Because of the proximity to the railway tracks, fast construction and high security were needed after completion.

The façade is designed using three main approaches:

  • Concrete elements in bonds to avoid stacked impression.
  • Additional seams are created on the façade to further enhance this effect and to reduce the scale of the concrete elements.
  • Window panes flush with the concrete. A layer of single glass acts as an outer third pane to a smaller double paned window. In this way the façade also acquires larger window openings, in contrast to the concrete.
