What they design is ordinary, but their process and approach is not. Or at least, it used to be non-ordinary. Now I think they are less proactive, and more like consultants. One could critizise them for doing a project like theese vacation homes, that are indeed low-friction in the norwegian coastal landscape, but on the other hand, so little is built there that is not ordinary. This is something new, and if it's built, it's progress. That is an attitude that is pherhaps more important than doing amazing projects that are not well recieved. It's important that architects actually want to build their projects, and I think that is the case with theese guys. Theese guys are more known as a brand than they are know as architects. Who in Berlin really cares what some hipsters designed for the coast of Norway anyways? Its obnoxious and annoying and I'm quite sure the people sitting in the tram found it annoying as well.
