AR Emerging Awards 2008

The Architectural Review informed us that they launched the 10th version of their Emerging Awards.

The AR Emerging Awards seek out and recognise new talent worldwide. Past winners include the Wall House and the Eco Boulevard, and honorable mentions to Kastrup Sea Baths, D&G Headquarters, Seifert House and several other projects.

The awards are open to built works by architects under 45. Awards don´t have categories, as it depends on the submissions.

This year the international jury will be Sir Peter Cook, architect and critic, London; Sou Fujimoto of Sou Fujimoto Architects, Tokyo; Mathias Klotz of Santiago, Chile; Sheila O’Donnell of O’Donnell & Tuomey, Dublin; and Peter Davey, former Editor of the AR.  Paul Finch, Editor of the AR, will chair the jury.

Submissions are encouraged in respect of all building types, interiors, urban design, landscape, bridges, temporary structures and manufactured products.  Entrants may enter up to five projects.

The total prize money is £15,000 to be distributed as the jury decides.  All winners will be invited to attend the award ceremony to be held in London in late autumn, and selected winners will be invited to participate in the Spring Lecture Series at the Royal Institute of British Architects in London in March 2009.

I can bet that some of the project we have published at ArchDaily will make it!
