This is a captivating design, a marvelous "tent" if you will, especially when one considers that despite it's size it's not meant to be permanent. With that in mind one is liberated to have it look less like a structure that must "stand the test of time" and more like a structure that can reflect its time. Wrap it in a painting or newsprint or whatever, it really doesn't matter if it pleases the eye and invites you in. When we start to seriously address the issue of how large-scale public architecture can join the sustainability movement we'll be building more structures like this. We'll be moving away from the idea that all public buildings meant for large numbers of people need to be fixed and permanent. Economic limitations will dictate it.

There is something about literal graphics on a building that somehow devalues the architecture. It seems so careless to do such a thing on such a LARGE construction. As far as I am concerned, someone just wrapped some nautical-themed bathroom wallpaper around a monster truck tire. Not a good move.

that is all.

This looks fishy.... but like the “lightweightness” feel on a massive building like a coliseum.
