AD Round Up: In Progress

AD Round Up: In Progress - More Images

It doesn’t matter if it’s made from steel, wood or concrete, it’s always interesting to watch a work in progress. That’s why for today’s Round Up we’ve selected posts of five great projects when they were under construction. The main image belongs to Jurgen Mayer’s Metropol Parasol, a gigantic wooden structure in Sevilla, Spain. Also check out the construction of the Nanjing Museum of Art & Architecture by Steven Holl or the Porta Fira towers in Plaza Europa by Japanese architect Toyo Ito. If you like steel constructions, don’t miss the Wyly Theatre, designed by REX and OMA. Finally, revisit the construction of “Mountain Dwellings” by BIG.
