In the rest of the world its “sex sells”, yet in Canada, its “boring sells.” Diamond Schmitt do make decent architecture, but their designs are often regurgitated, staid and predictable.

very typical in deed. I wonder why McGill as well as Concordia often work with these boring Toronto Architects with so many better Montreal architects available!
I’m also disapointed to see that Diamond Schmitt have won the MSO competition with another very boring project!

Seems like a well done but rather typical institutional building. Not quite as great as Behnisch’s design of the Terrence Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research at the University of Toronto – a similar program.
