		<description>As a Portuguese designer, I&#039;m way too often disappointed by the so called modern design emerging out of my home country, and this is another example. It seems every architect in Portugal wants to emulate Álvaro Síza, which at times I find grossly over rated. This phenomenon is not unique to Portugal however. I&#039;m very tired of so called &#039;modern&#039; design that shuns any interesting interplay of color or texture. Is it because most modern architects simply don&#039;t have the ability to articulate materials? This just seems lazy and plain weak.</description>
