International Golf Club Schiphol, designed by Mecanoo Architecten, just started construction with completion scheduled for the end of 2012. The new exclusive golf club is located next to Schiphol Airport, a stone’s throw from Amsterdam’s Zuidas business district. The design of the linear state-of-the-art clubhouse reflects the ambitions of the Amsterdam International Golf Club and exudes exclusivity and style while contrasting with its hilly 77 hectare terrain. The 2,000 m² clubhouse features, in addition to a high end restaurant, a fitness and wellness center with luxury dressing rooms, lounges, terrace and roof terrace for parties and events. The interior of the clubhouse was styled by designer Piet Boon. The rolling 18-hole golf course was designed by professional golfer Ian Woosnam and Mastergolf.

The composition of glass, steel and natural stone provides golfers and guests the full experience of the expressive golf landscape. Water features and height differences of up to 14 meters provide unique perspectives and fine sight lines with an un-Dutch character. With the new concept of ‘urban golf’ – dynamic, trendy and high service -, the Amsterdam International Golf Club targets a mix of 400 private and 400 corporate members.
