Salon2 shared with us their winning design in an invited competition for their Platea Residences proposal. Located in Fikirtepe area of Istanbul, their design strategy blends green and the conventional tower blocks into each other with climbing gardens almost like ivy climbing the trees. More images and architects’ description after the break.

The specific formation of this large scale housing project creates many unique housing units as well as cozy exteriors. The leisure center, shopping and restaurants as well as the green areas tied together like a fabric to create continuous and pleasant outdoor spaces.

Got to love this context-less design. Those diagrams are magnificent, I really feel one with the ivy…not. What a talent this Alper is!
