the point has gone beyond if this is a joke...as someone said above, some architectural designs are made to "joke" purposely.
but this one, come on, it is the Expo and it is one of the very rare opportunities to introduce our tiny city - Macau - to the rest of the World aside from using our casinos. and we decide an ugly rabbit (looks like one of those paper dolls Chinese burn to their ancestors) to represent our City...how ridiculous!

I must say, as an architect born in Macao, I deeply feel that this rabbit pavilion is a big disgrace to our profession and our city. And Leonor, WORDS can never justify a low quality design.

I must say, as a person born in Macao, that if the purpose of the countries pavilions is to represent their culture, this project is right on the spot. My mother automatically recognized the bunny from her childhood, and made me understand that it says something to the people of Macao. And by the way, from the comments i have read, it seems like people loved it or hated it, which means it generated controversy, as all great deeds in history. I recommend visiting http://www.carlosmarreiros.com/news/news6.html for more information about the project, before harshly criticizing.
