To Bat:
We have yet to find out what happened during the conceptual stage. No information on that yet. Everyone’s drawing their own conclusions based on absolutely nothing that what their eyes perceive.

Hope someone translates whatever text is in the original webpage, and let’s all hope AD enlightens us on this subject.

the “urinal” looks weird cause there is no explanation about the conception of this shape, no motivation, so at the first view, it’s a huge urinal, that’s all, without explanation, hand drawings or anything else… neither on the architect web site… looks like an object, nothing else…

Why is the urinal a bad thing? Perhaps your minds are not in the right place? To me, this building is nicely completed with quite an elegant roof; wrapping itself around the elevation – it is hardly a blob. The cantilevered section looks impressive. Anyhoo, it is a well shaped tall building.
