When is blobitecture crashing dramatically out of fasion like post modernism? In general blobs are overplayed, obnoxious, wasteful and incredibly ugly.

Why is the urinal a bad thing? Perhaps your minds are not in the right place? To me, this building is nicely completed with quite an elegant roof; wrapping itself around the elevation – it is hardly a blob. The cantilevered section looks impressive. Anyhoo, it is a well shaped tall building.

bat says:

the “urinal” looks weird cause there is no explanation about the conception of this shape, no motivation, so at the first view, it’s a huge urinal, that’s all, without explanation, hand drawings or anything else… neither on the architect web site… looks like an object, nothing else…

To Bat:
We have yet to find out what happened during the conceptual stage. No information on that yet. Everyone’s drawing their own conclusions based on absolutely nothing that what their eyes perceive.

Hope someone translates whatever text is in the original webpage, and let’s all hope AD enlightens us on this subject.

quit being mean people. go design something better yourself – and make it so that its gets posted on archdaily so we can all marvel at your genuis.

I love the form. it’s unique. Simple but bold in making a statement formwise.
