Between 22 July – 05 August 2012, the architects group Krokodil (EM2N, pool, Roger Boltshauser, Frank Zierau, Schweingruber Zulauf) and the Department of Architecture of the ETH Zurich (D-ARCH) will jointly run the International Summer Academy 2012 in Zurich with the title “From Suburb to City”.

Well-known architects from Switzerland and other countries will examine the themes of agglomeration/city/landscape using the example of the Zurich metropolitan area. The two-week-long International Summer Academy Zurich is directed at students and those embarking upon their professional careers in the areas of architecture/urban planning and landscape architecture from Switzerland and abroad. Each studio decides upon its own particular task in conducting a critical examination of the urban design proposal “Glatt – the City” and spotlights relevant processes in the development of a city.
