[...] Designed by Affonso Risi and located on a steepy hill in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the House at Rua Alabarda is a great example of an urban residence that uses the given space at its best. It features a garage, a studio and a working area at the grand floor, including a stylish little pool with carps. Amazing rooms with elegant furnishings and a lot of white, beautiful lighting and large open spaces to add to its warmth, there’s something about this house that triggers all sorts of emotions in our mind. It’s simply stunning, don’t you think? - via [...]

[...] Urban house with 281 m² (3 023 ft ²) in an upward sloping ground, narrow (9,00 m/ 32,47 ft) and long (50,00 m/164 ft). In the ground floor, 1 meter (3,23 ft) higher than the street, are access, garage, studio and working areas. Also in this level is a little pool with carps, on which grows a flight of stairs in reinforced concrete, conducting to the upper level, with all the house accommodations: access gallery, rooms, kitchen, verandas, family room, office, 3 bed rooms and bathrooms. The office and the third bedroom open to the upper garden in the end of the ground. There’s a solarium over the room and kitchen, with a wooden deck, reached by the continuation of the stairs. read more and see more images @ ArchDaily [...]

Congratulations to Afonso Risi for this beautiful house in São Paulo. This is a very good example of the contemporary urban house in Brazil. Perfect use of the site where it´s located. I like all the rooms and the way they are all displayed, plus the light and the open spaces. Beautiful work.
