Located in a place of excellence in the heart of Esposende, Berta Viana’s House underwent an intervention in order to reconvert it into an office building.

However, it was flanked by two other larger, with a completely different scale and under this assumption, the house was redesigned with a new floor, finding a more balanced relationship with its surroundings in order to unify and clarify the urban fabric.

From the outside the project tried to keep the the current image referring to the 1950’s. The overall composition of the main elevation result in the joining together of these two elements of different periods, establishing a dialogue between past and present.
