Challenged with a highly innovative plant, combining scientific research and modern production of concrete on an international standard, Synarchitects have been asking themselves to not only provide all tasks, but to add something special that makes the Xinao Concrete Research Plant shine out the typical factories. The company XinAo is multi-talented enterprise providing all kind of goods and services. A lot of their goals are satisfying families and supporting them in the daily tasks we all encounter. We took this as a perfect link to the subject concrete, providing us with the necessities of our infrastructure. This ranges from bridges to houses to simple furniture. We took this liason of common goals to give the whole project a simple and for everyone coherent face, a ordinary house.

At the beginning of our design strategy we followed the terms of the workflow-diagram to get the minimal requirements of the ceilings, the distances between the working steps and the necessary enclosed areas. Later on we added the most basic geometry of a house to design the roofs following the ascending ceiling height of the factory halls.With enough space we can provide better ventilation, through the wall we naturally lit the construction areas. Simultaneous it is shielded from outside via the semiopaque u-profile glass. With a closed surface we get a high ecological stand art and are able to aid ecological solutions for every working step.

The client did the request to design a green, modern and ecological plant site to fit to the international stand arts of both, research facilities and eco-friendly factory-sites. With with a park we divide the production area from the more public grounds and flock some more green areas near the concrete plant to gather the dust from the tender areas and the processing of the ready-mix trucks.

The rest of the compound was designed in the same architectural language to give the spectators from every angle the illusion to stand in front of a group of wild scaled houses.
