Paris Fashion week launched the 2012 Chanel runway, designed by Zaha Hadid. Karl Lagerfeld enlisted the architect to enhance the nautical concept and transform the Grand Palais for the Spring/Summer women’s collection. An ocean of models strutted through a purified landscape of white occupied by oversized sea creatures and coral. The dramatic scene was enhanced by iridescent drapes enclosing the performance. Zaha Hadid and Karl Lagerfeld have teamed up before. In 2008, Hadid designed a dynamic mobile art pavilion for Chanel, inspired by Chanel’s signature quilted bag.

This is what Hadid should do more of and leave the REAL buildings to REAL architects. After I walked around the outdoor ground level at the Phaeno Science Center I was on the brink of depression initiated suicide. Luckily I walked out from underneath it and saw the sun which restored my hope in life.
So obviously “noname noname” knows more about great architecture than the panel that awards the Pritzker prize…I’m guessing you’re one of the “REAL” architects you speaking of? Where’s your award?
i dont think the issue is that “noname noname” has no prices, the issue is that he criticizes someones work without any arguments, and expresses his/her opinion in a rude way…
beautiful
i hear from credible sources that no one from the office was involved in the design of the runway….could this be a rumour?
