It's a good point, Patrick. The project does not seem to consider lot size or shape - the form of the units are "dynamic" but I don't think that accomplishes anything in the proposal. I'd like to see more of an effort to embed certain qualities into the design of the units so that they presuppose some sort of site condition and don't need to rely on the typical top-down method of the master plan. It would be a pretty compelling project if this were considered or if there was the possibility of multi-story density so this could also work in an urban setting. Right now it's very limited.

it's a nice concept but utterly unworkable. how does each plot of land work? do you recieve a plot of land big enough to expand?... what if you dont expand? then all this becomes is a low density suburb. Or alternatively, everyone expands and it becomes impossible to access all the properties. Therefore this would only work if the masterplan was designed on the largest housing configuration possible, and in terms of plot size is not customizable at all.

kinda cool, but it has sprawl written all over it... and the animation is somewhat reminiscent of a spreading disease, yikes.

I did like the presentation, however the theme of adding pieces is nothing new in architecture. And has anybody ever thought of circulation in this project? The resulting structure looks nice graphicly but if I live in the middle of it,I would have to find my way out through a labyrinth of private gardens terraces...well but then again I guess only young,open-minded, hipsters woul live there, and they wouldnt mind, right?

It's like Ikea for buildings! The video is cheesy but at least it's targeted for real people. It might be a "dumb" project but I think that's what I like about it, it's not so self-important like most of the slop on this website.

I like the presentation and the idea, expecially the fact that they deal with a plurality of situation which are ultimately acknowledged as one. Very clever.
