Two days ago, norwegian architect Sverre Fehn died at 84 years old.
Fehn became world famous after the Norwegian Pavilion at the Brussels World Exhibition (1958), and for the Nordic Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (1962). He then designed the Hedmark Museum in Hamar, Norway, perhaps, his greatest achievement. In the last 20 years, he designed several museums: The Norwegian Glacier Museum (1991), the Aukrust Centre (1996), the Ivar Aasen Centre (2000), and the Norwegian Museum for Photography (2001). Fehn was recognized with the Pritzker Prize in 1997.
