Mid-2009 projects for our 8th selection of previously featured interior posts. Check them all after the break.

Eva’s bed / h20 architectes The arrival of a new child in the family pressed a young couple to think about a way to divide a room into two parts. The idea was to provide a personnal space to each child. The projet answers to this request of separation by adding a third space making the partition. The creation of a “multiple-use furniture” in the middle of the space allows to add some depth to the primary basic partition. Panta Rhei college interiors / i29 In the design for the new accommodations of public school Panta Rhei in Amstelveen (NL) there is a lot of attention on the balance between freedom and a sense of security. Snelder Architecten realised a building with many open multifunctional spaces where students can make themselves familiar with the teaching material. The interior design by i29 links up with that perfectly and gives the spaces an identity that connects with the students’ environment and addresses them directly and personally (read more…)

Carl-Bolle Elementary School / Die Baupiloten The Baupiloten invited the students to workshops in order to learn about their ideas and desires regarding the redesigning of the school. The story of the “Spy with the shimmering cloak” emerged from these workshops, eventually becoming the “storyboard” for the design of a spacious hallway that had previously been inaccessible (read more…)

Jing Restaurant / Antonio Eraso Jing is a contemporary Chinese restaurant located in One Fullerton building at the gate of downtown Singapore, surrounded by iconic Singaporean landmarks: The Merlion, Esplanade Theaters, Singapore Flyer and the soon-to-open Sands Integrated Resort set on Marina Bay’s backdrop (home of the F1 Singapore GP street race circuit); an impressive location to enjoy the ever-changing scenery of this city (read more…)
