A stationary ugly cruise ship is not good idea. Are those yellow things lifeboats? I notice that the layout has been recently redone and it includes fewer powerboats and more sailboat. Obviously, the guest will have problems and fun during the lengthy hurricane season.

when the oil is gone people aren’t going to be going on luxury vacations. and anyone with money isn’t going to want to hide out on abandoned oil rig in hurricane country. this place will be more like the abandoned naval station in the dr. who episode of the sea devils then the next posh resort in travel + leisure.

errrr….NOOOOOO unless its a set for a horror movie that goes straight to DVD.
I think if it needs to be recycled, a school for marine biological research or a scientific platform perhaps fueled by wave and wind power….something more useful !! to Humanity perhaps.

Haha!! Excellent point Claude…When can you actual take a vacation there, since hurricane season is from, I believe, March – October. It would probably be better as a prison (nod to Alcatraz).

couple of question guys…
during those windy nights, with splashin waves, thunder an all….
what will you do with the …roof palm trees? with the boats? with the pontoons?, light roof structures?
naaah dont need an answer.
but yes i agree with reuse!
perhaps an alternative to Guantanamo?
perhaps research station?
recycling plants?
alternative energy pods?

this idea only looks intelligent i guess. the gain is only the cost saving of the demolition, but the loss is forever expensive daily supply of the builidng operation, and the conflict between human living pollution/waste and the oceanic nature. silly?
