issue is architecture is not all about aesthetics, and overall look. most of us know how to use google. It is not only about form.

the facade design is interesting but would be totally disgusting in steel. I agree that concrete should cover the steel or create it obly from concrete. Steel would be only for the “fashion”? ugly.
Besides the tower rises from nowhere,so close to the small buldings… without integrating the landscape, without any public open space.
I would love to see another version of it, at least not to dissapoint people who like her work as I do. anyway, there’s no chance that this could be built now in Bucharest.

Well, at least one should Google an artist before one talks, but what ever. I think Zaha Hadid is a great artist, who dares to be visionary in a world where averege peaople try to blend in. She is one of the most talented architects alive today (professionally acclaimed too, by the way) and her courage, light aesthetics, and fluid forms make her one of a kind. Though there are quite a few artists with resembling designs, none come close to the demure shapes of Hadid buildings. And she is one artist that is constantly changing and evolving, not like ohers (no names attached here…). It is the single most important feature of an artist: it’s ability to evolve, and reinvent. Need more than that?

dak nu ati aflat intre timp..va spun eu acum, turnul ramane pe hartie…primaria a respins proiectul
this tower will remain on her computer only, the authorities rejected this project.
I personally like what zaha’s creating arround the world, I admire her courage:)

voi toti bucuresteni stiti prea bine ce dezastru ar fi, cum cladirea asta nu se potriveste deloc in “context”, dat fiind ca bucurestiul are o gramada de cladiri micute comparativ cu acest turn, vechi, pline de istorie si decoratiuni
intrebarea este: asa ceva se va construi sau e doar o idee trecatoare? am auzit de proiect inca de anul trecut…

i suggest that those who have never seen bucharest stop praising the huge hadid tower, it could never fit the landscape, but could successfully ruin it and turn our city into a kitsch… it is not even beautiful or special

Bucharest needs a Haussmann to lay some real avenues and a massive expansion of its Metro system.

Then maybe consider high rise, though the declining efficiencies of more lifts and smaller floor plates means you can usually get a better result wit a lower tower.

This is ego; the client’s manifested by the architect.

Surely a sensual form and exuberant in nature… it would be great to see this project get built. Seems like it belongs in a star wars movie somehow, I actually like where her recent projects are going stylistically speaking, from the BMW factory to the Cairo towers, sure seem progressive. Nice project.
