I understand your point, however you are gravely mistaken. If architects were still the ‘lone-rangers’ they once were a couple of centuries ago, your suggestion would hold valid. However, the design process now is much more non-linear. We need those that are constantly asking “How” as much as “Why”, and everyone should be asking how it all comes together. Sometimes the “How” can imply the “Why” as much as the other way around.
Architects should think about “Why” before thinking about “How”.
