Text description provided by the architects. City Louhans (burgundy) has a 19th century building for use as city hall where access was not suitable for people with disabilities. The reorganization of the premises and the new hierarchy of functions was subjected to study with their access.

The project, through Demolition of unsightly growths, the pedestrian makes an important function, creating a passage (traboule) at the rear of the building, thus linking two streets structuring the island city hosting the town hall.

It took the project to reconcile the issue of a measured expansion (small) under the massive volume of a 19th century building. The scale of the project is symbolic, it takes its true dimensions by the alternation of empty and full, dressed in original envelope. The envelope, its porosity can guess the function, it consists, with the light passing through, an assembly of plans that the building structure.
